دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)— أعلن الديوان الملكي الأردني، الثلاثاء، عقد قران الأميرة راية بنت الحسين على الصحفي البريطاني، فارس نيد دونوفان، وفيما يلي نستعرض لكم نبذة سريعة عنه.

فارس نيد دونوفان يعرف نفسه على موقعه الرسمي بأنه صحفي بريطاني مقيم في لندن، وكان حتى وقت قريب يعمل مراسلا حرا يغطي أخبار المملكة المتحدة والعالم لمدة سبع سنوات لدى وسائل إعلام مثل صحيفة ذا تايمز وميل وصنداي، وفي الوقت الحالي يعمل على مشاريع كتابية..

وكتب دونوفان على موقعه أن اهتماماته تتمحور أساسا حول آسيا وبالتحديد منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشبه الجزيرة الهندية ملقيا الضوء على اهتمامه الأكاديمي بالتاريخ، مضيفا أنه "أنهى مؤخرا دورة مكثفة باللغة العربية التي علمته أمرين: أن لغتي العربية ليست جيدة جدا وأنني سأبقى أحاول تحسينها".

وأنشأ دونوفان بصورة منفصلة حسابا على موقع التواصل تويتر يحمل اسم "UK laws" الذي يقوم بصورة مباشرة بإعادة تغريد القوانين الجديدة الصادرة عن الحكومة البريطانية، معبرا عن اهتمامه بالخدمة العامة.

ووفقا لوكالة الأنباء الأردنية حضر عقد القران والدة العروس الملكة نور الحسين، وسفير الأردن في لندن، عمر النهار، وعائلة دونوفان، وسط مراسم احتفال مختصرة، وفقا للإجراءات والتعليمات المتبعة إثر جائحة كورونا.

وكانت مراسم خطوبة الأميرة راية على دونوفان قد تمت في الـ26 من شهر تشرين الأول الماضي،  بحسب وكالة الانباء الاردنية .
