دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN) -- زار الأمير بندر بن سلطان، السفير السعودي سابقاً في واشنطن مركز الدراسات والشؤون الإعلامية بالديوان الملكي، في زيارة استمرت 12 ساعة، وألقى خلالها محاضرة في السياسة والأمن لمدة أربع ساعات.

وقد رحّب سعود القحطاني، المستشار في الديوان الملكي بزيارة الأمير بندر، قائلاً إنها كانت "ذكرى عطرة في نفوس كافة موظفي المركز." وتابع أن الجميع استفاد من توصيات "أسطورة السياسة وداهيتها" وكذلك من محاضرته القيمة، على حد تعبيره.

وفي تعليقه على زيارته للمركز، قال بندر بن سلطان في مقطع الفيديو الذي نشره القحطاني عبر حسابه الرسمي على تويتر: "الأشياء اللي سمعتها اليوم وعايشتها، يقدر الواحد يقول الحمد لله، الآن يرتاح الإنسان، ويعرف أن البلد ومستقبلها في أيد أمينة." 

وأضاف: "الله يوفقكم، وما تتصورون قديش أنا سعيد أني جئتكم اليوم، وسمعت إنجازات المسؤولين".

يشار الى أن نشطاء على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي كانوا قد تناقلوا مقطع فيديو في يونيو / حزيران 2017 يظهر استقبال الأمير محمد بن سلمان للأمير بندر بن سلطان الذي زاره لتقديم البيعة بعد أيام من اختياره ولياً للعهد.

يذكر أن الأمير بندر بن سلطان بن عبدالعزيز كان قد أعفي من منصبه كرئيس الاستخبارات العامة بناء على طلبه، في آبريل / نيسان عام 2014.
