دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)—برز رد العقيد الركن، تركي المالكي، المتحدث باسم تحالف "دعم الشرعية" في اليمن، على سؤال من صحفي أجنبي أشار فيه إلى أن القوات الجوية السعودية أخفقت في وقف هذه الصواريخ التي استهدفت معملين لشركة أرامكو في بقيق وخريص، مثيرا تفاعلا بين نشطاء على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي.

السؤال الذي طرح على المالكي خلال المؤتمر الصحفي للتحالف، الأربعاء، كان مفاده، وفقا للترجمة الفورية لقناة العربية السعودية: "اعتقد أن هذا عرض محرج للجيش السعودي فهذا يبين أن الدفاعات الجوية قد أخفقت في وقف هذه الصواريخ والطيران المسير الذي تمكن من اختراق أجواءكم، كيف سيكون رد فعلكم لوقف هذه الهجمات؟"

أجاب المالكي قائلا: "نحن نفخر بدفاعاتنا الجوية التي أوقفت حتى الآن 232 صاروخا بالستيا، فلا يوجد دولة في العالم استهدفت بهذا العدد من الصواريخ البالستية وهجمات بـ258 طائرة مسيرة.. وبقدراتنا وقدرات ضباطنا والقدرات الموجودة لدى الدفاع الجوي تمكن من تحديد مواقع هذه الأسلحة وأنقذنا شعبنا وأمتنا، اعتقدتم أننا أخفقنا.. نحن فخورون بدفاعاتنا الجوية والشعب أيضا فخور بهذا الدفاع الجوي.."
