دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- عبر الجيش اللبناني، عن التزامه بحماية حرية التعبير وحق التظاهر السلمي "بعيدًا عن إقفال الطرق والتضييق على المواطنين واستغلال المتظاهرين للقيام بأعمال شغب".

وقال الجيش اللبناني، في تغريدة على حسابه الرسمي على تويتر، إن "الجيش يقف إلى جانبكم في مطالبكم الحياتية المحقة"، في الوقت الذي رصد فيه شهود عيان، انتشار الجيش اللبناني في أنحاء متفرقة من البلاد، في محاولة لفتح الطرقات والشوارع التي أغلقها المتظاهرون خلال الأيام الماضية.

وتداول نشطاء لبنانيون مقطع فيديو لأحد عناصر الجيش، باكيا في مواجهة عدد من المتظاهرين في لبنان، وبحسب الفيديو المنشور على تويتر، حاول بعض المتظاهرين تهدئة عنصر الجيش.

وتداول رواد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، عبر هاشتاغ #لبنان_ينتفض، مقاطع فيديو وصور لعناصر الجيش وهي تحاول فتح الطرقات، بالإضافة إلى نداءات إلى عناصر الجيش بعدم مواجهة المتظاهرين.
