صندوق النقد الدولي يبدي استعداده لمساعدة لبنان في أزمته الاقتصادية

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- عبر المتحدث باسم صندوق النقد الدولي جيري ريس، عن دعم  وتشجيع الصندوق لجهود الدول المانحة للبنان، والتي شاركت في مؤتمر بباريس وتحت رعاية الأمم المتحدة، لمساعدة لبنان في النهوض باقتصاده، وإقالته من عثرته على خلفية الأزمة التي يعيشها.

وأكد ريس، بحسب مقطع فيديو لكلمة له في حسابه على تويتر، الخميس، استعداد الصندوق للدعم التقني فيما يتعلق بخطة وإجراءات الدول المانحة الساعية لمساعدة لبنان.

تأتي تلك التصريحات بعدما نظمت فرنسا برعاية الأمم المتحدة، مؤتمرًا لعدد من الدول للتباحث في سبل دعم الاقتصاد اللبناني، على خلفية مطالبة رئيس الوزراء اللبناني في حكومة سعد الحريري لـ8 دول، بالمساعدة في توفير السلع الغذائية والمواد الأولية اللازمة لعمليات الإنتاج.

ويواجه لبنان أزمة اقتصادية طاحنة، بعد مرور أكثر من 50 يومًا على الاحتجاجات التي بدأت في 17 أكتوبر تشرين الأول الماضي، للمطالبة بإقالة الحكومة وتشكيل حكومة تكنوقراط، واحتجاجا على سوء الأوضاع الاقتصادية والفساد.

وتواجه مفاوضات تشكيل الحكومة الجديدة في لبنان، تعثرًا كبيرًا، بعد اعتذار عدد من الأسماء المرشحة لتولي رئاسة الحكومة في أعقاب استقالة حكومة سعد الحريري زعيم تيار المستقبل، استجابة للاحتجاجات قبل أكثر من شهر.
