دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- تظاهر الآلاف أمام السفارة الأمريكية في المنطقة الخضراء في العاصمة العراقية بغداد، الثلاثاء، وذلك احتجاجا على الغارات الجوية الأمريكية على مقار لحزب الله العراقي في سوريا والعراق، والتي أسفرت عن مقتل 25 شخصًا، الأحد.

وحسبما قال شهود عيان لـCNN، فإن قوات الأمن العراقية خارج السفارة تحاول تهدئة المتظاهرين، وتطالبهم بعدم التصعيد، فيما قالت وزارة الداخلية العراقية إن وزير الداخلية وعدد من أعضاء البرلمان يحاولون تهدئة المتظاهرين. 

وبحسب ما تداوله رواد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، فقد شارك في المظاهرات نواب في البرلمان العراقي، فضلا عن قيادات في قوات الحشد الشعبي، من بينهم أبو مهدي المهندس نائب رئيس قوات الحشد الشعبي وزعيم مليشيات حزب الله العراقي، وقيس الخزعلي زعيم مليشيا عصائب أهل الحق المدعومة من إيران. 

وبدأ عشرات المتظاهرين في نصب خيام أمام مقر السفارة، تمهيدًا للاعتصام، فيما أظهرت مقاطع فيديو إشعال النيران في إحدى بوابات مقر السفارة الأمريكية. 

كان رئيس الوزراء العراقي عادل عبد المهدي، أعرب، في وقت سابق، عن إدانته للغارات الأمريكية على مقار حزب الله العراقي، الأحد الماضي. 

وقال عبد المهدي، إنه أبلغ قيادات الحشد الشعبي والجيش العراقي، بالغارات الأمريكية قبل تنفيذها، معتبرًا أن الولايات المتحدة استندت إلى أدلة "غير كافية"، فيما يخص تورط مليشيات الحشد الشعبي في الهجمات ضد القوات الأمريكية في العراق.
