دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN) – تداول مغردون صورا لمؤسسي مجلس التعاون الخليجي، مشيرين إلى أن وفاة سلطان عُمان، قابوس بن سعيد، السبت، يعلن رحيل آخر المؤسسين.

ونشر المغردون صورة تجمع كل من العاهل السعودي السابق الملك فهد بن عبد العزيز، ورئيس الإمارات حينها، الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، وأمير الكويت السابق، الشيخ جابر الأحمد الصباح، وأمير قطر آنذاك، الشيخ خليفة بن حمد آل ثاني، وأمير البحرين حينها، الشيخ عيسى بن سلمان آل خليفة، بالإضافة إلى السلطان قابوس بن سعيد.

وقال أحد المغردين تعليقا على الصورة: "نودع اليوم آخر القادة المؤسسين لمجلس التعاون الخليجي السلطان قابوس بن سعيد رحمهم الله جميعا وغفر لهم وأسكنهم فسيح جناته".

وعلق مغرد آخر على الصورة نفسها قائلا: "إنا لله وإنا اليه راجعون ترجل آخر فارس من حكام الخليج الذين أسسوا مجلس التعاون الخليجي السلطان قابوس سلطان عمان، الله يرحمه ويتجاوز عنه ويرحم كل حكام مجلسنا المؤسسين".

وكان قد أُعلن عن تأسيس مجلس التعاون الخليجي في 25 مايو/أيار من عام 1981، بعد أن توصل القادة الخليجيون لاتفاق حول إنشاء المجلس في العاصمة الإماراتية، أبوظبي.
