دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- كشفت محطة فضائية سعودية أن إجمالي عدد الطائرات دون طيار في المملكة يبلغ أكثر من 2000 طائرة.

وفي برنامج "نقدر"، المُذاع عبر قناة "السعودية" الرسمية، قال مقدمه مُهند أبو عبيد إن هناك أكثر من ألفي طائرة بدون طيار في السعودية.

وخلال خلقة البرنامج المُخصصة للحديث عن صناعة الطائرات بدون طيار في المملكة، قال أبوعبيد إنه يجري إنتاجها من قبل 6 جهات حكومية على الأقل، فيما توجد 3 شركات تابعة للقطاع الخاص تعمل في نفس المجال.

وأشار مُقدم البرنامج إلى أن هذه النوعية من الطائرات يترواح سعرها ما بين 10 آلاف إلى 5 ملايين ريال سعودي.

وأجرت قناة "السعودية" جولة في معمل شركة "بُراق" المُتخصصة في إنتاج طائرات بدون طيار. والتقت مؤسسها سعيد الزهراني، وهو شاب سعودي عمره 27 عامًا.

ودرس الزهراني هندسة الفضاء والطائرات في جامعة أمبري ريدل بولاية فلوريدا الأمريكية. وسبق فاز في إحدى مسابقات مركز الشيخ محمد بن راشد للفضاء بالإمارات.

وتعني شركة "براق" بصناعة الطائرات بدون طيار لأغراض تجارية وعسكرية.

واستدعى الزهراني اسم "براق" من التراث الإسلامي، ولأنه هدفه في النهاية "صناعة شىء فائق السرعة"، واستخدام هذه الطائرات على كوكب المريخ.

كما التقت القناة سعوديين آخرين قادهم الشغف لتغيير مسار حياتهم للعمل في مجال صناعة الطائرات دون طيار، مثل الشاب عمر العيسى.
