دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- اقترح نائب الرئيس المصري السابق محمد البرادعي، الإثنين، اللجوء إلى مفهوم الدولة الواحدة بدلا من حل الدولتين والدفاع عن القضية الفلسطينية كقضية "فصل عنصري"، حسب تعبيره.

وقال البرادعي، في تغريدة عبر حسابه على تويتر، إن "المطالب تراوحت منذ البداية بين دولة واحدة للفلسطينيين واليهود على أرض فلسطين أو دولتين مستقلتين. في ضوء كل ما حدث قد يكون الحل الأفضل المتاح حاليا هو العودة إلى مفهوم الدولة الواحدة ثنائية القومية والدفاع عن القضية كقضية فصل عنصري"، مضيفا أنه "من الضروري أن يتوحد الفلسطينيون ويأخذوا زمام الأمور".

وأشار البرادعي في تغريدة أخرى إلى جزء من كلمة رئيس السلطة الفلسطينية الراحل ياسر عرفات في الأمم المتحدة عام 1974، عندما قال: "فلنعمل معا على تحقيق الحلم في أن أعود مع شعبي… في ظل دولة واحدة ديمقراطية يعيش فيها المسيحي واليهودي والمسلم في كشف المساواة والعدل والاخاء".

وكان البرادعي قال في تغريدة بعد إعلان اتفاق "تطبيع العلاقات" بين الإمارات وإسرائيل: "لم نفهم، على عكس إسرائيل، عندما بدأنا التفاوض معها في السبعينات أن السلام المنفرد ليس سلامًا وإنما إخلال بتوازن القوى في المنطقة لصالح طرف على الآخر، مما يؤدي في المدى البعيد إلى ضياع فرص السلام العادل والمستدام"، مضيفا أن "الكل يدفع الثمن".
