دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)—نشر إيتان نائيه، القائم بأعمال السفارة الإسرائيلية في الإمارات، سلسلة تغريدات على صفحته الرسمية بموقع التواصل الاجتماعي، تويتر، معبرا عن مشاهره في هذه اللحظات.

وقال نائيه: "تغمرني مشاعر جياشة مع وصولي للإمارات لافتتاح السفارة الإسرائيلية في ابو ظبي. أتقدم بالشكر لجميع المهنئين والمتابعين الجدد من الإمارات. معاً نقيم علاقات وطيدة واسعة الآفاق على فترة زمنية طويلة الأمد.."

وفي تغريدة منفصلة نشر القائم بالأعمال الإسرائيلي مقطع فيديو لاسم الطائرة التي أقلته إلى العاصمة الإماراتية أبوظبي، والتي تحمل اسم بلدته.

وكانت الحكومة الإماراتية، قد أعلنت في وقت سابق أن مجلس الوزراء صادق على إنشاء سفارة لدولة الإمارات في تل أبيب بإسرائيل، وذلك بعد اتفاق تطبيع العلاقات بين البلدين وذلك  في أولى اجتماعات مجلس الوزراء الإماراتي في عام 2021، بحسب ما ذكرته وكالة الأنباء الإماراتية الرسمية.
