دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)—يعرض برنامج مكافآت من أجل العدالة التابع لوزارة الخارجية الأمريكية، مبلغ 5 ملايين دولار مقابل معلومات عن خالد باطرفي القيادي بتنظيم القاعدة في شبه الجزيرة العربية.

وفيما يلي نستعرض لكم نبذة سريعة عنه وفقا لما نشره البرنامج على موقعه الرسمي:

خالد سعيد باطرفي هو عضو بارز في منظمة القاعدة في شبه الجزيرة العربية بمحافظة حضرموت باليمن، وعضو سابق في مجلس الشورى لمنظمة القاعدة في شبه الجزيرة العربية. وفي عام 1999 سافر إلى أفغانستان، حيث تدرب في مخيم الفاروق التابع لمنظمة القاعدة.

وفي عام 2001 قاتل إلى جانب طالبان ضد القوات الأمريكية والتحالف الشمالي. وفي عام 2010 انضم البطارفي إلى منظمة القاعدة في اليمن، وقاد مقاتلي القاعدة في الاستيلاء على محافظة أبين اليمنية، وأطلق عليه لقب أمير أبين. وبعد وفاة زعيم القاعدة ناصر الوحيشي في ضربة عسكرية أمريكية في شهر يونيو 2016، أصدر بيانا يحذر فيه بأن منظمة القاعدة سوف تدمر الاقتصاد الأمريكي وتهاجم مصالح أمريكية أخرى.

بعد أن أعلنت الولايات المتحدة أنها ستعترف بالقدس على أنها عاصمة اسرائيل، ظهر باطرفي في فيديو لمنظمة القاعدة في شهر يناير 2018 وهدد الولايات المتحدة والشعب اليهودي. وفي 23 يناير 2018، حددت وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية باطرفي بأنه إرهابي عالمي مخصص بموجب الأمر التنفيذي 13224.
