خارجية الإمارات ترحب بتمديد الهدنة في اليمن

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- رحبت دولة الإمارات بتمديد الهدنة في اليمن لمدة شهرين إضافيين بوساطة من الأمم المتحدة.

وأشاد بيان لوزارة الخارجية، الأربعاء، بجهود الأمم المتحدة ومبعوثها إلى اليمن هانس غروندبرغ، للوصول إلى وقف دائم لإطلاق النار، تمهيدًا لحل سياسي للأزمة اليمنية التي مزقت البلاد منذ 2015.

ودعت الخارجية الإماراتية إلى دعم الالتزام بالهدنة، مؤكدة على "الدور المحوري الذي تقوم به المملكة العربية السعودية الشقيقة في تحقيق الاستقرار والأمن في اليمن".

وجاء تمديد الهدنة في باليمن في نفس اليوم الذي وافقت فيه الولايات المتحدة على بيع صواريخ باتريوت للسعودية، وأخرى من طراز ثاد للإمارات.

في وقت سابق الثلاثاء، أعلن المبعوث الأممي الخاص، هانس غروندبرغ، أن طرفي الأزمة في اليمن اتفقا على تمديد الهدنة بالشروط ذاتها لمدة شهرين إضافيين من 2 أغسطس/ آب وحتى 2 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول.

وقال غروندبرغ، في بيان نشره موقع الأمم المتحدة، إن "التمديد يتضمن التزاما من الطرفين بتكثيف المفاوضات للوصول إلى اتفاق هدنة موسع في أسرع وقت ممكن".
