دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- أعلن المركز الوطني للأرصاد بالإمارات، السبت، استمرار قوة الإعصار "بيبرجوي" من الدرجة الأولى في بحر العرب، وأضاف أنه لا تأثير على الإمارات نتيجة الإعصار خلال الأيام الخمسة المقبلة، بحسب بيان نقلته وكالة الأنباء الإماراتية (وام).

وقال المركزي إن "الحالة المدارية ببحر العرب (بيبرجوي) ما زالت عند تصنيف (إعصار من الدرجة الأولى)، مُجددًا التأكيد على عدم وجود أي تأثير له على الدولة خلال الخمسة أيام القادمة"، وفقا لـ"وام".

وأفاد المركز في تقريره، بأن "الإعصار يتمركز وسط شرق بحر العرب عند خط عرض 17.0 شمالاً وخط طول 67.5، وتبلغ سرعة الرياح حول المركز من 135 إلى 150 كيلومتر في الساعة، مع وجود تشكيلات من السحب الركامية الممطرة حول المنخفض".

وأوضح المركز في بيانه أنه "من خلال النماذج العددية والتقارير الصادرة من مركز مراقبة الأعاصير الإقليمي، من المتوقع استمرار الإعصار المداري من الدرجة الأولى خلال الـ12 ساعة القادمة، ثم يتعمق إلى الدرجة الثانية في ساعات الليل حتى الصباح الباكر، ثم يضعف إلى الدرجة الأولى صباح الغد، ويصبح اتجاهه لشمال بحر العرب حيث تتراوح سرعة الرياح حول المركز 140 - 165 كيلومتر في الساعة، وسرعة تحرك الإعصار 7 كيلومترات في الساعة"، حسبما نقلت الوكالة الإماراتية.
