(CNN)--  أعلنت الحكومة اليابانية، الثلاثاء، فرض عقوبات على أفراد وشركة مرتبطة بحركة "حماس".

وبحسب بيان صادر عن وزارة الخارجية اليابانية، استهدفت العقوبات 9 أشخاص من بينهم ممولين ونشطاء، وصفتهم بـ"الإرهابيين"، وشركة مقرها غزة تقدم خدمات تحويل الأموال وتبادل العملات الافتراضية.

وتضم القائمة الأسماء نفسها التي أعلنتها وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية في 18 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول، عندما أعلنت الولايات المتحدة عقوبات مماثلة.

وهذه هي العقوبات الأولى التي تعلنها اليابان.

وفي بيان صدر في 8 أكتوبر، بعد يوم واحد من هجوم "حماس" على إسرائيل، قالت وزارة الخارجية اليابانية إنها "تدين بشدة مثل هذه الأعمال وتحث على إطلاق سراح الأسرى مبكرا".

وأضافت: "في الوقت نفسه، تشعر اليابان بقلق عميق إزاء عدد من الضحايا في قطاع غزة بسبب الهجمات التي شنتها القوات الإسرائيلية"، وتابعت أنها "حثت جميع الأطراف المعنية على ممارسة أقصى قدر من ضبط النفس لتجنب وقوع المزيد من الأضرار".
