دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN) -- أعلن المغني وكاتب الأغاني البريطاني إد شيران يوم الأحد، أن نتيجة فحصه لفيروس كورونا أتت ايجابية.

وقال الشاب البالغ من العمر 30 عامًا في بيان نُشر على حساب "انستغرام" الخاص به: "ملاحظة سريعة لإخباركم بأن نتيجة اختبار كوفيد كانت إيجابية للأسف، لذا فأنا الآن أعزل نفسي وأتبع الإرشادات الحكومية".

ويأتي هذا الخبر قبل ألبومه الرابع المنتظر بشدة بعنوان "=" (أي "يساوي") والذي سيتم الكشف عنه يوم الجمعة، بعد أربع سنوات من بدء تسجيله.

وأضاف شيران في تعليقه "هذا يعني أنني الآن غير قادر على المضي قدمًا في أي التزامات شخصية في الوقت الحالي، لذلك سأقوم بالعديد من المقابلات / العروض التي أخطط لها من منزلي"، متابعًا: "أعتذر لأي شخص خذلته".

ولم يذكر شيران ما إذا كان قد تم تطعيمه. ولكن في يوليو/تموز، انضم إلى الممثل البريطاني جيمس كوردن في فقرة "The Late Late Show with James Corden"، حيث قام الاثنان بتغيير كلمات أغنية شيران "Shape of You"، واستبدالها بأخرى تحث الأشخاص على تلقي لقاح فيروس كورونا.
