دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- أعلن رئيس هيئة الرياضة السعودية تركي آل الشيخ، مساء الخميس، أنه قرر إعفاء سامي الجابر من رئاسة مجلس إدارة نادي الهلال، وذلك بعد 4 شهور فقط من قرار آل الشيخ بتعيين الجابر في ذلك المنصب.  

وفي تغريدة عبر حسابه على تويتر: قال تركي آل الشيخ: "بصفتي رئيساً للجنة الأولمبية، فقد تم إعفاء رئيس مجلس إدارة نادي الهلال الأخ سامي الجابر، وتكليفه مستشاراً للهيئة العامة للرياضة، ومسؤولاً عن العلاقات الدولية، كما تم تكليف أخي الأمير محمد بن فيصل رئيساً لمجلس إدارة نادي الهلال"، دون أن يوضح أسباب التغيير.

تغريدة تركي آل الشيخ جاءت عقب تغريدات من حساب نادي الهلال على تويتر صور من تدريبات الفريق مساء الخميس بحضور سامي الجابر، وخبر آخر عن تقديمه مكافأة للاعبي الفريق بعد تحقيق بطولة السوبر السعودي.

وكان تركي آل الشيخ أعلن، في أبريل/ نيسان الماضي، عن تعيين الجابر رئيسا للهلال. وقال تركي آل الشيخ إن "الأخ العزيز سامي الجابر في مسيرته الكروية خط اسمه بمداد من الذهب في التاريخ الرياضي. لا يخالجني شك أنه سيفعل أكثر من ذلك في مسيرته الإدارية في رئاسته لعشقه: الهلال. وسيحقق لجماهيره طموحاتهم وأحلامهم".
