كان هذا المنزل في الماضي عبارة عن مزرعة للأبقار، لكن أعادت شركة "Skene Catling de la Peña" تصميمه ليصبح عقاراً فاخراً يتضمن خمس غرف للنوم وثلاثة حمامات وبركة سباحة صغيرة. ولم يتم تغيير واجهة المنزل الخارجية.

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- تماهت الحمامات بالماضي إلى حد كبير مع النوادي الصحية، إذ كانت عبارة عن مناطق تجمع عامة تركز على الصحة والاستجمام. 

واشتهرت العمارة القديمة، وخصوصاً الرومانية واليونانية والعثمانية، بالحمامات العامة التي كان يرتادها الناس للاستحمام والاسترخاء ولقاء الأصدقاء، مثل حمامات السوق التي ما زالت قيد الاستخدام في مدن مثل اسطنبول التركية والعاصمة السورية دمشق.

وقد تصبح الحمامات العامة المكان الجديد للاستمتاع والقيام بالنشاطات الاجتماعية بدلاً من المطاعم والحانات، على الأقل بنظر المهندسين المعماريين. وعُرضت مجموعة من تصاميم الحمامات العامة في غاليري "Roca London" في العاصمة البريطانية لندن، لمصممين من حول العالم.
