وأشارت دراسة من منظمة السياحة العالمية إلى أن منطقة البحر الكاريبي قد شهدت زيادة قدرها 7 بالمائة من نسبة السياح العام الماضي، بشكل يضاهي النسبة في أماكن أخرى، وحوالي ضعف نسبة متوسط نمو السياحة العالمية الذي بلغ 4.4 بالمائة في العام 2015.
