دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- نشرت وكالة "ناسا" عبر حسابها الرسمي، على موقع "إنستغرام"، صورة عالية الدقة لكوكب المشتري، عندما تشكلت عاصفتان دائريتان كبيرتان على سطحه.

وبحسب ما أوضحه منشور "ناسا" عبر "إنستغرام"، التُقطت هذه الصورة بواسطة الكاميرا الخاصة بمركبة الفضاء "جونو" على ارتفاع حوالي 3,815 ميلاً، أي 6,140 كيلومترًا.

وتظهر السحب "المنبثقة" الساطعة فوق العاصفة السفلية، وتلقي بظلالها على الضفة السحابية أدناه.

ورغم صغر حجمها مقارنة بالعاصفة الكبيرة أدناه، فإن هذه السحب يبلغ عرضها عادةً 31 ميلاً، أي حوالي 50 كيلومترًا.

ويُذكر أن المركبة الفضائية تراقب كوكب المشتري وأقماره منذ يوليو/ تموز 2016.

وبفضل الكاميرا الملونة، يمكن إرسال مناظر جديدة للسحب الدوامة للكوكب العملاق إلى الأرض، بحسب ما ذكرته وكالة "ناسا" عبر موقعها الرسمي.

وبعد وصول بيانات "JunoCam" إلى الأرض، يتم معالجة الصور لإنشاء صورًا ملونة من قبل عامة الناس.

واختبر فريق "Juno" هذا النهج بنجاح عندما التقطت "JunoCam" مناظر عالية الدقة لأول مرة، حيث أظهرت كوكبنا أثناء تحليق المركبة الفضائية حول الأرض في أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول 2013.
