بالطلاء الأحمر.. نصب واشنطن الشهير يتعرض لأعمال تخريب في أمريكا

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN) -- أُغلق نُصب واشنطن التذكاري الشهير القائم في قلب العاصمة الأمريكية مؤقتًا، وأُلقِي القبض على رجل مساء الثلاثاء، يشتبه بتخريبه المعلم بالطلاء الأحمر.

وصرّحت شرطة المنتزهات الأمريكية في بيان، الأربعاء، أنّها ألقت القبض على شون راي ديتون، الذي يبلغ من العمر 44 عامًا، من مدينة بلومنغتون في ولاية إنديانا الأمريكية، الثلاثاء، تمام الساعة 7:30 مساءً.

وأوضحت الشرطة أنّ الرجل قام برش الطلاء الأحمر وكتب رسالةً بذيئة على قاعدة النصب التذكاري.

وجاء في بيان الشرطة: "يواجه ديتون تهمة التعدي والعبث والتخريب (36 CFR2.31). وهذه تهمة جنائية أولية، وقد يواجه تهمًا إضافية في سياق التحقيق".

وبدأ عمل حراس صيانة الحديقة الوطنية بإزالة الطلاء، وطلبت شرطة المنتزه من أي شخص لديه معلومات حول الحادث بالتواصل مع خط معلومات الشرطة  على رقم (202) 379-4877 أو عبر البريد الإلكتروني USPP_Tipline@nps.gov.

وقالت وحدة منتزه "ناشونال مول" التابعة لإدارة المنتزهات الوطنية، الأربعاء، على تويتر: "بدأت الطبقة العليا من الطلاء تتلاشى، وستتم معالجة الصبغة التي تسرّبت إلى الحجر من خلال استخدام منتج للتنظيف لمرات عدة".

وأعيد افتتاح النصب التذكاري مرة أخرى صباح الأربعاء.

وتعد المسلة الأيقونية، التي يبلغ ارتفاعها 555 قدمًا، المنتصبة داخل منتزه "ناشونال مول" في قلب واشنطن العاصمة، بمثابة تكريم لجورج واشنطن، أول رئيس للولايات المتحدة.
