دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- أعلنت منظمة العفو الدولية (أمنستي)، في تقريرها السنوي عن حالات الإعدام حول العالم، أن إيران والمملكة العربية السعودية والعراق ومصر يتصدرون قائمة الدول الأكثر تنفيذا لأحكام الإعدام في عام 2019، بعد الصين التي تحجب المعلومات الخاصة بالإعدامات.
وقالت منظمة العفو الدولية، في تقريرها الذي نشرته في شهر إبريل/نسيان من هذا العام أن عدد الإعدامات التي وقعت في الصين تُقدر بالآلاف، لكن لا يوجد عدد محدد لأن الصين تُصنف المعلومات الخاصة بأحكام الإعدام على أنها "أسرار دولة".
وبعيدا عن الصين، سجلت منظمة العفو الدولية 657 حالة إعدام في 20 دولة حول العالم في عام 2019، بانخفاض نسبته 5٪ مقارنة بعام 2018 الذي بلغ عدد الإعدامات فيه 690 حالة على الأقل. وأشارت المنظمة إلى أن "هذا هو أقل عدد من عمليات الإعدام التي سجلتها في عام واحد منذ عقد على الأقل".
وقالت العفو الدولية إن 86% من عمليات الإعدام التي سجلتها في عام 2019، باستثناء الصين، وقعت في إيران والمملكة العربية السعودية والعراق ومصر.
