دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- تعد شركة "إيفرغرين" المشغلة لسفينة الحاويات "إيفرغيفن"، التي عطلت حركة الملاحة في قناة السويس لمدة أسبوع، سابع أكبر شركة شحن للحاويات في العالم، بحسب تصنيف موقع Alphaliner المتخصص في بيانات الشحن والملاحة البحرية.

وأظهر تصنيف Alphaliner أن شركة خطوط ميرسك Maersk الدنماركية تتصدر قائمة أكبر 10 شركات شحن حاويات في العالم، بـ 713 سفينة قيد التشغيل، مع 4.1 مليون TEU، وهي وحدة معيارية للحاويات مكافئة لعشرين قدما.

وبالمرتبة الثانية حلت شركة "البحر المتوسط للشحن البحري" MSC السويسرية بحوالي 3.9 مليون حاوية، يتبعها شركتا COSCO و CMA-CGM بحوالي 3 ملايين لكل منهما. وجاءت شركة Hapag-Lloyd بحوالي 1.7 مليون TEU في المرتبة الخامسة، و"شبكة المحيط السريع" (ONE) اليابانية بالمرتبة السادسة بحوالي 1.6 مليون TEU.
