(CNN) -- قالت الخطوط الجوية السنغافورية في بيان لها، الثلاثاء، إن شخصاً واحداً على الأقل توفي وأصيب آخرون على متن رحلة تابعة لخطوطها الجوية من لندن إلى سنغافورة بعد مواجهة "مطبات هوائية شديدة أثناء الرحلة".

وجاء في البيان: "مرت رحلة الطيران السنغافوري رقم SQ321 والتي كانت في طريقها من (مطار هيثرو) في لندن إلى سنغافورة في 21 مايو/أيار من عام 2024، بمطبات هوائية شديدة في طريقها".

وهبطت الطائرة اضطراريا في العاصمة التايلاندية، بانكوك، عند الساعة 3:45 مساء بالتوقيت المحلي، وفق ما ذكره الطيران السنغافوري الذي تابع قائلا: "يمكننا ان نؤكد أن هناك إصابات ووفاة واحدة على متن طائرة بوينغ 777-300ER". 

وكان على متن الطائرة 211 راكبا و18 من أفراد الطاقم، وفقا للخطوط الجوية السنغافورية، التي قدمت "تعازيها العميقة لأسرة المتوفى".

وقال المشغل الجوي: "أولويتنا هي تقديم كل المساعدة الممكنة لجميع الركاب والطاقم على متن الطائرة"، وأضافت: "نحن نعمل مع السلطات المحلية في تايلاند لتوفير الدعم الطبي الضروري". 

وأضافت الخطوط الجوية السنغافورية في البيان أنها سترسل فريقًا إلى بانكوك لتقديم أي مساعدة إضافية مطلوبة.
