دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)—أثار الرئيس الروسي، فلاديمير بوتين، تفاعلا واسعا بين نشطاء على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، عقب إعلانه بيع الغاز الروسي لمن وصفها بـ"الدول غير الصديقة" بعملة الروبل الروسية عوضا عن الدولار أو اليورو.

ونقل تلفزيون روسيا اليوم على لسان بوتين قوله "لا معنى لتوريد السلع الروسية للاتحاد الأوروبي والولايات المتحدة وتلقي المدفوعات باليورو والدولار"، مؤكدا أن "موسكو اتخذت قرارها بالامتناع عن استخدام عملات الدول غير الصديقة في نقل الغاز".

وأكد الرئيس الروسي وفقا لتقرير التلفزيون أن "بلاده ستواصل توفير إمدادات الغاز بحسب العقود المبرمة، على الرغم من اتخاذ عدد من الدول قرارات غير قانونية بتجميد أصول روسيا".

ويذكر أنه وفي أوائل عام 2008، كان الدولار الأمريكي يساوي ما يقرب من 25 روبل. انخفضت قيمة العملة الروسية بشكل كبير منذ ذلك الحين، ودفعت العقوبات الغربية المفروضة ردا على غزو أوكرانيا إلى انهيارها. فقد أصبح بإمكان دولار أمريكي واحد أن يشتري 117 روبل في موسكو بعد أن تراجعت العملة 10٪ وسجلت مستوى قياسيا جديدا.

وجاء التراجع الأخير بعد أن منع البنك المركزي الروسي المواطنين من شراء العملات الصعبة وأمر البنوك بوضع حد للسحب من حسابات العملات الأجنبية عند 10 آلاف دولار للأشهر الست المقبلة، وهي خطوات قد تساعد في الحفاظ على بعض احتياطيات البلاد من الدولار ودعم الروبل.
