دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)—برز اسم وزير خارجية السعودية الأسبق، الأمير سعود الفيصل، على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، وعلى تويتر بصورة خاصة بعد هجمات شرسة شنها مغردون ضد شخصه وورثته، أثارتها تقارير رفض محكمة فرنسية قبول قضية ضده من قبل شركة زعمت انتاج فيلم اباحي بطلب منه، وفقا لما نشرته "فرنسا24"، وهو الأمر الذي لا يمكن لموقع CNN بالعربية التأكد من صحته بشكل مستقل.

وبرز وسم حمل اسم "دعوة لسعود الفيصل" على تويتر بعد الآلاف من التغريدات والتعليقات الواردة عليه، حيث قال أنور قرقاش، وزير الدولة الإماراتي للشؤون الخارجية، بتغريدة: "دعوة لسعود الفيصل.. شامخا في تمثيل وطنه، مقنعا في منطقه، قويا في حجته، أميرا في أخلاقه، حاضرا في غيابه، رحمك الله وأسكنك فسيح جناته".

من جهتها نشرت الإعلامية البحرينية، سوسن الشاعر في تغريدة: "صحيح اننا لن ننساهم و لكن شكرا للاقزام الذين بحقدهم و صغر قامتهم يذكروننا بالجبال الشامخات بالقمم بالسمو حين تتقافز الضفادع القطرية الناقصة تارة للنيل من ابو الانسانية زايد الخير واليوم من امير الدبلوماسية الفيصل فتلك والله الشهادة بالكمال".
