طغت التعليقات الإيجابية على تغريدات النشطاء حول الصورة معتبرين أنها تمثل صفحة جديدة بملف الأزمة الخليجية التي تشهدها قطر من جهة وكل من المملكة العربية السعودية والإمارات والبحرين من جهة أخرى إلى جانب مصر.

الصورة المتداولة تعود إلى نوفمبر/ تشرين الثاني العام 2016 وأعاد نشرها حينها الشيخ عبدالله بن زايد، وزير الخارجية الإماراتي على صفحته بتويتر، وفقا لصحيفة البيان الإماراتية التابعة لمؤسسة دبي للإعلام.
