وأكد وزير الخارجية السعودي، خلال الاتصال "موقف المملكة الداعم لحل الأزمة الأوكرانية عبر الوسائل السلمية التفاوضية، وتطرق إلى آفاق المضي في تحقيق ذلك في ضوء مقترح الوساطة الذي عرضه ولي العهد السعودي، الأمير محمد بن سلمان"، وفقا لوكالة الأنباء السعودية "واس".

‏‎وجرى خلال الاتصال "بحث العلاقات الثنائية التي تجمع البلدين وسبل تعزيزها وتوطيدها في المجالات كافة، بما يحقق مصالح كلا البلدين والشعبين الصديقين"، حسب الوكالة.

كان ولي العهد السعودي، أكد خلال اتصال هاتفي مع الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، في وقت سابق من الشهر الجاري "دعم المملكة للجهود التي تؤدي إلى حل سياسي للأزمة الأوكرانية يؤدي إلى إنهائها ويحقق الأمن والاستقرار، وأن المملكة على استعداد لبذل الجهود للوساطة بين كل الأطراف"، وفقا لما نقلته "واس" وقتها.
