دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة --(CNN) وفقًا لتقرير صادر عن الحملة الدولية للقضاء على الأسلحة النووية (إيكان) وهي تحالف من عدة منظمات غير حكومية تنشط في مجال نزع الأسلحة النووية، وصل الإنفاق العالمي على الأسلحة النووية لأعلى مستوياته على الإطلاق في 2023، بما يقدر بـ 91.4 مليار دولار، أي 23.2 مليار دولار زيادة خلال السنوات الخمس الماضية.

وذكر التقرير بأنه في عام 2023، أنفقت الدول التسع المسلحة نوويًا 10.8 مليار دولار وهي زيادة بنسبة 13.4٪ من ترساناتها النووية في العام السابق، بإجمالي 91.4 مليار دولار، أو 2,898 دولارًا لكل منها في كل ثانية على الأسلحة النووية.

وفي حين سجلت كل دولة زيادة في حجم الإنفاق على أسلحة الطاقة النووية، حققت الولايات المتحدة أكبر زيادة بنسبة 18% تقريبًا، ليفوق إنفاق الولايات المتحدة على أكثر من إجمالي إنفاق الدول الأخرى المسلحة نووياً مجتمعة، بما يبلغ 51.5 دولاراً مليار في 2023. وتفوقت الصين على روسيا لتصبح ثاني أعلى دولة أنفقت 11.9 مليار دولار، وجاءت روسيا في المركز الثالث بإنفاق بلغ 8.3 مليار دولار في 2023.
