دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)—أشعلت تغريدة لتركي آل الشيخ، رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للترفيه بالسعودية ورئيس الاتحاد العربي لكرة القدم، حول النشيد الوطني قبل مباراة المنتخب الإماراتي ونظيره القطري ببطولة كأس آسيا 2019، جدلا حول القبائل والأصول والأنساب في الجزيرة العربية.

وقال آل الشيخ في تغريدته: "المفترض أن يعزف 12نشيد وطني قبل المباراة بعد قليل، نشيد منتخب الامارات الشقيق مقابل 11 نشيد لمنتخب التجميع وطبعاً لن يشمل النشيد القطري لعدم وجود قطري أصلي.."

المنتخب القطري تمكن من تجاوز المنتخب الإماراتي بأربعة أهداف مقابل لا شيء، في الدور نصف النهائي لبطولة كأس آسيا 2019، ليلاقي بذلك المنتخب الياباني في المباراة النهائية.
