وتظهر كل من صور ستيل بيركنز أجواء الاستمتاع التي كان يعيشها الشباب، الذين مثّل أسلوب حياتهم ذروة "جنون" خلال فترة السبيعينيات في العاصمة البريطانية.

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- جيش من الشباب والشابات بسترات جلدية وتسريحات شعر غريبة يتمايلون على أنغام موسيقى "روك آند رول" حتى مطلع الفجر.

أهلاً بكم في لندن خلال فترة السبعينيات، وبالتحديد داخل اجتماعات وسهرات شباب "ذا تيدي بويز" أو "ذا تيدز"، الذين شكلوا أول ثقافة مستقلة للمراهقين في المملكة المتحدة بين العامين 1974 و1976.

ووثق المصور كريس ستيل بيركنز هذا التحرّك بالصور الفوتوغرافية، من خلال مرافقة الشباب والشابات في تجمعاتهم على مدى عامين، وأصبح يُعرف بـ "مصوّر المراهقين،" مع الحرص على عدم الانجراف معهم بتحركاتهم، والحفاظ على مسافة بينه وبينهم.

أما الوحي من وراء تحركات الشباب فمرده إلى فيلم "Rock Around the Clock" الأمريكي، والذي أطلق في العام 1956، والذي أدى بعد انتشاره إلى اندلاع حركات الشغب في بريطانيا. وبدأ الشباب بثورة على أنغام موسيقى الروك، بهدف الاستمتاع بوقتهم "حتى شروق الشمس."
